Calum has spent his life in kids and youth ministry. He started out as a camper himself and has since been involved in more than 60 camps in volunteer and staff roles. He holds a Master of Leadership from the Australian College of Ministries and a Graduate Diploma of Divinity from Sydney Missionary and Bible College, alongside a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney, and he taught in schools before moving into full-time ministry. He currently serves on a school council, and is Director of Holiday Camps at CRU (The Crusader Union of Australia), where he leads a team running over 70 camps a year for children and young people across Australia.
